Region 12 Newsletter August 2010
Special Thanks to Don & Ellen Olvey of Odenville, Alabama for sharing their beautiful home and farm with the AAHA Membership by hosting the August AAHA Membership Meeting Thank you to Don for fixing some awesome BBQ. If you were unable to attend, you missed a lot of fun, Arabian horses and good fellowship. Again, thank you Aradon Farms, Don & Ellen Olvey.

...he is running across the heavens hillside with his mane flowing in the breeze, he runs so like the wind only to occasionally stop for a bite of lush green grass or a sip of water from a cool mountain stream. You can hear the thundering hooves of his friends of the past coming to welcome him and join him for a frolic in the meadow or entertain a game of chase...whether in the show ring, on a trail ride, in a learning clinic, or just hanging out around the barn - horses of all breeds, colors and sizes are a gift from God. They come into out lives and in some way touch our heart and soul. Cherish the pictures, memories, and good times... remember me with a laugh and smile and Peace be with you my special friend. ~ AAHA MEMBERS ~ ~ PLEASE VOTE ~ FOR OUR SPRING ALABAMA ALL ARABIAN HORSE SHOW USEF BREED COMPETTION Make sure to cast your vote in the “My Favorite USEF Breed Competition.” This competitor’s choice award helps to recognize an outstanding USEF breed competition in eleven breed categories, with a chance to win an exhibitor’s pizza or ice cream party in the coming year. *Voting runs now through December 1, 2010: https://www.usef.org/_AUAIFrames/FavoriteBreed/default.aspx All USEF members in good standing who have participated in a USEF licensed breed competition as an official, trainer, rider, driver, handler or owner, are encouraged to vote and share their feedback with the USEF. AAHA Youth would like to THANK EVERYONE that helped make the August 14, 2010 Arabian Community Show a tremendous success. Thank you to all volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, horse owners, trainers and members that supported this show. We appreciate YOU! All proceeds of the AAHA Youth's ACS shows benefit the AAHA Youth and their projects. Special thanks to....Amy Fulmer and her husband, Molly McGraw, Linda Mefford, Ralph Ioimo, Bill Dinan, Denise Trimmier, Rhonda Bowles, Carrie Cooper and the AAHA Youth that helped and supported this show. AAHA would like to THANK Don and Ellen Olvey and Aradon Farm for hosting the August 1, 2010 AAHA Membership Meeting. AAHA is proud of Tony Shubert of Hartselle, Alabama announcer for the May 27 - 30, 2010 Buckeye Arabian & Half Arabian Horse Show in Ohio. Congratulations to all AAHA members and their horses that went to the Region 12 Arabian & Half Arabian Championship Show in May. We are so very proud of those ALABAMA Arabians. Thank you to all AAHA members that were on the Region 12 show committee. AAHA Youth would like to THANK EVERYONE that took part in the April 24, 2010 Arabian Community Show.
